Happy Holidays from wemlo

December 19, 2022

‘Tis the season to celebrate

The holiday season is in full swing. The shopping, the lights, the sweets, the crackling of the fireplace — there are so many things to enjoy this time of year. What’s so great about the holidays is that everyone enjoys them in their own way. Some people make hot cocoa and binge movies. Some put up decorations before Thanksgiving. Others jam out to their holiday playlist any chance they get.

There’s only so much time to really appreciate and experience the joy of the season. That’s why we asked the #teamlo what some of their favorite moments are during the holidays. Check out what they had to say below:

What’s your favorite movie this time of year?

“Elf” was the big winner among the #teamlo for best holiday movie. The story of “Buddy the Elf” still brings cheer to the team, so it’s no surprise that smiling is our favorite.   Next up with many votes was “Christmas Vacation,” with “Home Alone,” “A Christmas Story,” “The Year Without a Santa Claus,” “Home for the Holidays,” and “Christmas Chronicles” earning an honorable mention.

What’s your favorite holiday tradition?

The #teamlo doesn’t play around when the holidays arrive. Just ask Hector R., head of accounts, who said his favorite tradition was “putting up the tree the day after Thanksgiving.”

For some of the #teamlo, an action-packed adventure is the perfect way to spend time with loved ones. Jessica C., wemlo graphic designer, hits the slopes and spends Christmas Eve snowboarding with her family.

What’s the most memorable gift ever received?

There’s nothing quite like a sentimental gift, especially a personalized one. Jenny S., loan processor, received a necklace with a picture of her two sons and engraved with the words “You Are My Sunshine,” a song she used to sing to her boys.

For loan processing manager Amanda M., last year’s gift, an engagement ring from her now husband, will be hard to beat.

What’s been your proudest accomplishment this year?

This was a general question, but many on the #teamlo highlighted the contribution they made to wemlo throughout the year. Christopher C., senior loan processor, said his biggest accomplishment was “hitting that 100 club” meaning he has closed 100 loans since joining wemlo.

Yaremi J., loan processing manager, said that “obtaining her scrum master certification” was the highlight of her year. For Dora G., manager of loan processor education, attending Art Week in Miami is a particularly vibrant memory from 2022.

What are you most excited for in 2023?

Tiffany R., wemlo social media manager, has high hopes for the #teamlo next year and hopes to “continue growing wemlo as a brand that is synonymous with exceptional service in the third-party processing industry.”

What about your favorite things during the holidays? Please share with us on social media to spread the cheer!

Happy holidays from the #teamlo!
